Online Submission

Caution: Kindly read the following instruction before submission.

For Japanese Authors(投稿にあたっての注意点)

Manuscript

  • All textual content should be provided in a single file, prepared using either LibreOffice Writer, Apache OpenOffice Writer or Microsoft Word. JAS4QoL does not use a manuscript template. The manuscript file should be formatted as double-spaced, single-column text without justification. Kindly use left alignment.
  • The figures may be inserted within the text at the appropriate positions.
  • Please make sure that your manuscript contains no non-English fonts (for example, Japanese fonts, Korean fonts, Chinese fonts, etc.) on the manuscript as well as in all figures and tables. Any characters in these fonts may not be viewable by reviewers. In the past, we have had particular trouble with MS-Gothic and MS-Mincho.
  • The textual content should be saved as a ODT, DOCX, DOC or RTF file. PDF files are not acceptable.

Figures & Tables

  • The figures may be inserted within the text at the appropriate positions.
  • Figures for publication should preferably be saved separately as high resolution TIFF (300-1000 ppi), EPS or SVG files but can be embedded in a ODT/DOCX/DOC file for review.

Tip: Many softwares/applications exist to create figures. In addition to commercial applications, such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, some open-source programmes are available.

> GIMP (for TIFF)

InkScape (for EPS and other vector formats)

  • Place each table in your manuscript file (DOCX/DOC/ODT).

Total size of the files submitted from the online submission form below should be less than 10MB. If the total size of your files is more than 10MB or you have any problems in uploading your files, you can submit your files via online storage services (e.g. Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, etc.). Kindly send us a link (URL) to your manuscript and illustration files. Kindly see our submission guidelines before submission.
